Saga Dawa Festival Tours ( MAY 27,2010)
Saga means fourth and Dawa refers to month in Tibetan. This festival is celebrated for whole month and is one of the most significant festival celebrate in Tibet. But the fifteenth day of the month is very special as Sakyamuni was born, attained Nirvana(enlightenment), stepped into Parinirvana(death). Tibetans believe that it would accumulate immense of merits during that particular day by giving generosity, stop killing animals, stop eating meats, monks chanting in monasteries,cham dancing and other religious activities dominate the occation.The festival is called "qiong ren jie" in chinese which means poor people's day because Tibetan peoples'generosity to the poor people is well known

Gyantse Dama Festival, Gyantse Horse Racing Fastival( MAY 27-MAY 30,2010)
Dama festival in Gyantse is more popular for foreigners to understand it well. This festival is established in 1408 and the farmers and herdsmen from every parts of Tibet gather in Gyantse for horse racing, archery competations, horsemanship display followed by few days' entertainment or picnicking. These days, ball games, track and field events, tug of war are also playing at the field for about a week. The bussinessmen from every part of the Tibet display some local products and butter system is still there.

Nachu Horse Racing Festival(Aug 10- Aug 16,2010)
Nachu horse racing is another grandest horse riding competation in northern Tibet. Tens of thousands of herdmen gather at grassland outside of Nachu city on a vast grassland dotted with tents to celebrate the horse riding competation. After a grand opening cermony, various activities will start, such as horserace, yakrace, tug of war, carring stones and performs Tibetan operas.

Shotun Festioval(Aug 10- Aug 15,2010)
"Shotun" in Tibetan means sour milk banquet. As Tibetan operas are performed and Buddha paintings are exhibited at this time, it is also called "Tibetan Opera Festival" or "Buddha Exhibition Festival".
Shotun festival is the most important and attractive for the Tibetans with full of ethnic songs and dances along with famous Tibetan opera performing at Norbulingka Palace. Hundreds of thousands of Tibetan gather at Drepung, Sera monastery to see the famous Buddha Thangka.

Gaden Ngachen chenmo festival(Dec 1,2010)
25 october according to Tibetan lunar calender is comemorating as the death anniversary of Tsongkapa. So Tibetans use to called it Gaden "Ngachen chenmo". In that day every monasteries and house hold burns countless butter lamps everywhere and chant prayers in his honour. Tibetan people use to make round around the Bakhor and monasteries along with small prayer wheel in right hands and rosary in left hand. Later in evening they eat "Thinthuk"(typical Tibetan noodle)
