Lhasa Hotels

Nowadays there are hundreds of hotels in Lhasa, or hostels, from budget guest to luxury hotels. Countless Tibetan Style accommodations are around the old town where is the most interesting place in Lhasa. Among them, Several new midrange and upmarket options like House of Shangbala, Dhood Gu Hotel here means there¡¯s now something for everyone. Some famous well-know hotels like Kyichu Hotel, Yak hotel are newly decorated and raise their price to double of normal.

Apart from the hotels listed here in old town, characterless modern Chinese-style hotels spread around town. Compared featured Tibetan Style Hotels, Chinese modern style hotels always provide relatively cheaper price, normal 60%-70% of Tibetan Style hotels, if you want to make your trip cheap, Chinese style hotels are not bad.

Please note that most of the budget places don¡¯t accept reservations. You may have to hunt around for a room in the peak months of July and August and during Chinese holiday when a large amount of Chinese travelers rush to Lhasa.
