The kitchen and metal workshop beside the main assembly hall are highly recommended.</p> <p><strong>Rotung Monastery</strong><br /> At the western end of the monastery is path which leads for about five minutes' walk, after passing a chorten and a vast barley fields, there lies the remarkable Rotung Monastery. It's a tiny monastery of 40 monks, and is surrounded by tens of thousands of votive-caved mani stones. Pilgrims circle the monatery every day, from dawn to dusk.</p> <p><strong>Nyamaling Monastery</strong><br /> Nyamaling Monastery, about 13km past Rotung, can be easily seen from the road to the west.
