If you are an adventure fan, it's a good place for you to take off the beaten track trip, pack your <img height="400" alt="The mural in Drak Yangdzong" width="272" align="right" src="/images/Drak Yangdzong/Drak Yangdzong1.jpg" />sleeping bag and a torch and take the ferry across the Yarlung Tsangpo. A visit to the sites with a band of Tibetan pilgrims is also recommended. We also remind you of the difference of the Drak Valley and the valley behind <a href="http://www.tibettravel.org/tibettravel/Html/201045225238-1.html">Dorje Drak Monastery</a>.</p> <p>Several sacred spots scatter in the valley, receiving a stream of pilgrims heading to the caves. The Dromochen Lhakhang is the first stop. The cite is said to be&nbsp; the birthplace of Nubchen Sangye Yeshe, a 9th-century Tantric master, who was also one of the 25 disciples of Guru Rinpoche.<br /> Next to the Dromochen Lhakhang is the Tsogyel La-tso. It is famous as the spirit lake of Guru Rinpoche&rsquo;s consort Yeshe Tsogyel. In the golden-roofed chapel there is a statue of Tsogyel, with her current reincarnation's photo who lives in Amdo.</p> <p>Transportations are available. Passenger trucks come to Ngadrak village, where some stop. People can find several shops here with a large Karma Kagyupa monastery. By one of the assembly hall pillars, one may Look for the stone footprint of Yeshe Tsogyel.</p> <p>The dirt road goes up the valley, passing the Gyarong village, which os situated at the base of the ruined fortress Pema Dzong.
