The cave is very long, and there are peristeles and shiya which are of grotesque shapes and also possibly nature-formed statues of Buddha, etc. many eminent monks of Nyingma Sect or Gagyu Sect in Kham once were on a pilgrimage and practice Buddhism here, such as Deqen Quje Nyingpa, Garma Barxe, Kunggyu Yuandung Gyamco. Therefore, Senqen Namzha Mount is held in esteem by the masses who profess belief in Buddhism. They consider it good fortune to make a pilgrimage to the sacred mount.
