Eastern part is in the shape of lion, southern part is in the shape of dragon, western part is in the shape of phoenix, while northern part is in the shape of tortoise. The mountains are so precipitous along Nujiang River that they are just like split or chopped by a sword or axe. There is a flatter land on the hillside, and it is just a gazebo for viewing the river. Standing on the gazebo, one could take a bird¡¯s-eye, overall view of Nujiang River. The Dongbar Dwelling Houses are a combination of Han style, Tibet style and that of Naxi Nationality of Yunnan, etc. These houses are huge in bulk, particularly in selecting materials, ingenious in design, meticulous in carving. Beneath the magnificent exterior, there is luxurious interior. They are built alongside the mountains, roads, waters, or orchards. Scanned widely, they seem as if the ancient palaces group, of great momentum.
