Tibetan Heritage Management Committee investigated and excavated the ruins for the first time in 1986. They cleared out a large number of house ruins, ash kangs, cellars; and forged stone implements of all kinds, microlith, polished stone implements, bone implements and pottery pieces. Besides, they discovered a site of cemeteries with a history of about 4000 years.</p> <p>On the basis of the coexistence of the forged stone implements, the microlith, the polished stone implements and the fact that the forged stone implements are principal in this place, Lessor Enda Site should be the ruins of the New Stone Age. According to the characteristics of the unearthed relics, carbon-14 dating, and adjustment based on the growth ring, the exact date ought to be the time 4000 years ago, in late New Stone Age. House ruins are also found here. There are apparent plinths around the foundations; pillars act as the bones of the walls; weaved branches embellish the house; the inside and outside walls are both coated with the mixture of grass and mud; there are a kang in the center of the residence. These characteristics are alike to those of Karub Ruins. It typical cultural relic in eastern Tibet at that time.</p> <p>The cultural connotations the Lessor Enda Site reflects fall into the category of Karub Culture. However, it is more advanced than that of Karub Ruins. As the unearthed stone complements and <img height="174" alt="Researchers in Lessor Enda Site of New Stone Age" width="250" align="right" src="/images/Lessor Enda Site of New Stone Age/1156331.jpg" />bone complements show, people once lived in the Lessor Enda Site had leaded a settled life based on farming. From the appearance of the culture, we can infer that it has connections with the primitive culture of the ruins in Nyingchi, Medog, Qoigung Village in the north suburb and that in the middle and upper reaches of the Yellow River.</p> <p>Lessor Enda Site is the second ruins of New Stone Age excavated in Chamdo Prefecture.
