When I graduated from university in July, 2009, I was so lucky to be employed by CITS. And fortunately, I'm dealing with the business with foreigners.<br /> <br /> From that day, I met so many so many foreign travellers from all over the world. They are so lovely, so kind, so polite. However, it's a pity that I have never been to Tibet with my travellers until November 14th. I still remember my group members clearly when I was doing my Tibet trip: Cynthia, from Hongkong; Sherrie, from Canada; Gustavo, from Miami, USA; Allen and his girlfriend, from New Zealand; Maria, from France, Matthew, from USA. They are all my customers, we have talked long emails, and we have very good friendship. They are separated into 2 groups, one is to Mt.Everest; the other is to Kathmandu via Mt.Everest.</p> <p>Fortunately, our manager allowed me to travel with these 2 wonderful groups together. The date is just on November 14.<br /> <br /> Two of the group menbers Cynthia, Sherrie, and I will catch&nbsp;famous <a href="http://www.tibettravel.org/tibet-train/">Tibet train</a> to Lhasa, we assembled&nbsp;in Chengdu Railway station. It's so nice as I was the only boy in the train journey, hehe. We looked after each other very well. We share with the foods, funny stories on the train. Sherrie often scared me by ghost stories when it went dark. So beautiful!)</p> <p>We arrive in Lhasa on November 16. Although the train journey is a little bit long, it's worthwhile. So here I also want to give some advice to my deal travellers, if you are going to Tibet, please be sure to take train for at least one way if your time is abundant. The train journey will be an impressive and unforgettable experience for your Tibet trip.</p> <p>When I arrived there, I was warmly welcomed by our local tour. To be honest, Tibetan people are really kind and nice. For the foods, it's also delicious. (Just not that delicious as our Sichuan foods, haha.)&nbsp;</p> <p><img alt="tibet dinner" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/Tibet-dinner.jpg" /><br /> (Tibetan food is mainly Yak meat. )</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On November 17th, we began with the trip to Drepung Monastery in the morning and Sera Monastery in the afternoon. Drepung Monastery is located at the foot of the mountain, it's very big. And in Sera Monastery, we enjoyed the wonderful Lama Debating. (Although we all don't understand what they are debating about. Please remember that it will begin in the afternoon around 3 pm everyday.)</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On November 18th, we went to see the famous Potala Palace, Johkang Temple. On the way, we saw the quite quite quite beautiful lake-Yamdrotso Lake, which is unbelievable fantastic scenery. To be honest, I want to jump into the lake to have a wonderful swimming, however, I can't. Because I was told the water is forzen cold. Just a joke here, but I really like the lake so so so much.</p> <p>&nbsp;<img alt="yamdrotso lake" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/yandro_tso_lake.jpg" /><br /> (Please do believe it's natural scenery, just by my nice Canon Camera.)<br /> <br /> <img alt="the lake shore" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/yandro_tso_lake_shore.jpg" />&nbsp;<br /> (The scenery on the way)</p> <p>&nbsp;<img alt="Tibet tour group" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/Maria_Sherrie_Cynthia.jpg" /><br /> (Maria, Sherrie and Cynthia)<br /> <br /> <img alt="snow mountains aside lake yamdrotso" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/yandro_tso_lake_snow_mouuntain.jpg" />&nbsp;<br /> (Yak, Yamdrotso Lake, Snow Mountain.)</p> <p>Later this afternoon, we came to Gyantse Kumbum which has 100000 images in the monastery.&nbsp;<img alt="Gyantse kumbum Monastery" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/Gyantse_kumbum.jpg" /><br /> (Gyantse Kumbum, and Pelkhor Monastery is next to it. )</p> <p>We drove to Shigatse Manasarovar Hotel after the journey to spend the night there.</p> <p>On November 20th, we visited the famous Tashilumpo Monastery, which is the foundation of Banchan Lama. Here I was fortunate to know a Lama, Xi Ri Jia Cuo. He was very kind to me. And until now, we still keep the close contact. I was happy to know him, and Jiacuo, thanks for your kind wishes during every Festival. (And Cynthia, I have done you the favor to send the photos to Jiacuo to Xining.)</p> <p>&nbsp;<img alt="tashilunbu monastery" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/Tony_tashilunbu_monastery.jpg" /><br /> (Tony, Xi Ri Jia Cuo Lama, Cynthia are in front of Tashilumpo Monastery.)</p> <p>On November 21st, we were leaving for the adventure place---Mt.Everest. Why I called it the adventure place, as the road to Mt.Everest is really adventure.<br /> &nbsp;<img alt="mountains of Himalaya" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/Mountains.jpg" /><br /> (The series mountains of Mt.Everest. We just came to Mt. Everest through these mountain roads. Is it quite a scared adventure?)</p> <p>&nbsp;<img alt="Mt everest base camp" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/MountEverest_base_camp.jpg" /><br /> (We kept standing on the top of the mountain for around 1 and a half hours. I mean only Cynthia and me, other members are afraid of coldness and they went back to the car soon. Hehe, Cynthia, we are the final winners for this trip, right?)</p> <p>On November 22nd, we went back to Lhasa. And just on this day, Sherrie, Maria, Gustavo and I went back to Lhasa. Cynthia, Allen and his girlfriend, Matthew went to Zhangmu border as they were leaving for Kathmandu. We really don't want to leave each other, however, we had to. However, I believe our friendship will last forever. And Cynthia, you promise me that you will guide me around when I go to Hongkong and London, you promise. I will keep it in mind.</p> <p>On November 23rd, our last trip is to Ganden Monastery. And Sherrie suggested that we go to Norbulinka park. The photos below showed our trip on November 23rd. Also, it's the last day of our Tibet trip.</p> <p>&nbsp;<img alt="ganden moanstery" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/ganden_monastery.jpg" /><br /> (Ganden Monastery is a little bit far away from Lhasa city center. It's 140 Km for round way.)</p> <p>&nbsp;<img alt="norbulingka summer palace" src="/images/Tony_tibet_travel/the_norbulingka_summer_palace.jpg" /><br /> (Norbulinka Park is the summer palace of Dalai Lama.)</p> <p>&nbsp;On November 24th, Sherrie and Maria left Lhasa. I really didn't want to see them leaving, however, I had to. I also didn't want to see them off, however, it maybe the last time we met each other, I didn't want to, but my feet led me to send them off. Sherrie and Maria, when you come to Chengdu next time, please remember Tony, your forever friend in China.</p> <p>&nbsp;On November 25th, I leave Lhasa with Gustavo together. His flight was to Beijing and mine was to Chengdu. This is just the end of my wonderful Tibet trip. I can't describe the feeling how I like and enjoy this trip because of my limited English ability, I just want to say: Tibet, I love you. And all the group members, I will also remember all of you forever as it has become one of my part in my life.
