Some outdoor activities designed for parents and children can make your trip more interesting.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana"><strong>Detailed Itinerary</strong></font></p> <p><font face="Verdana"><strong>Day01: Arrive in Lhasa<br /> </strong><br /> Lhasa Train station/airport picking up, You are warmly welcome to Tibet by saying Tashi Delek at the Train station/airport by your tour guide and an experienced driver and send you back to your well reserved hotel. Then have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude in the afternoon.<br /> Overnight at Lhasa</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana"><strong>Day02: Lhasa Sightseeing: Potala Palace /Jokhang Temple/Barkhor street<br /> </strong><br /> Morning section to visit the famous Potala palace and explore the grandest of this myriad chapels, its audience halls, the jeweled and Golden burial chortens(stupa Tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, and tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, thangkas, combinations of mandala, figures of the Buddha. Made of precious metal.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">Afternoon section visiting to the holist temple in Tibet, the Johkang Temple, built during songtsen gonpo's reign by princess wencheng of tang dynasty, 647 A.D. The inner circuit is also situated inside the temple and is lined with prayer-wheel and murals outlined in gold on red background, which depict the thousand buddhas, interspersed with stupas and relief-images. Johkang is circuit.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">The circular pilgrim route around Jokhang temple is called barkhor and later flourished, forming the embryo of the city. The barkhor market itself is the most active in all tibet,and it is possible to purchase traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and tradition tibetan clothes etc. Overnight at Lhasa </font></p> <p><font face="Verdana"><strong>Day03: Visit Romoche Monastery, Norbulingka Summer Palace, Tibet Museum</strong></font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">Pay a visit to Ramoche Monastery, which is situated in the northwest of Lhasa, covering a total area of 4000 square meters (one acre). This temple is one of the key cultural relic protection sites of the Tibet as well as a hot attraction in Lhasa. The original building complex has a strong Tang architecture influence, for it was first built by Han Chinese architects in the middle of the 7th century (during the Tang Dynasty). Han Princess Wencheng took charge of This project and ordered the temple be erected facing east to show her homesickness.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">In the afternoon, visit Norbulingka Summer Palace, which in Tibetan means &quot;Treasure Park&quot;. Among artificial gardens, Norbulingka is the biggest, the best scenic and the most historic one in Tibet. Nowadays, it is the public park for local people.At the coming of every summer, Dalai Lamas handled official business in Norbulingka, not in Potala Palace. After over two hundred years of extension, Norbulingka has a large area of 360, 000 square meters including 374 rooms.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">Next to Norbulingka Summer Palace, New Tibet Museum is the last program for today. It covers an area of 23,508 square meters (5.8 acres) including the exhibition area of 10,451 square meters (2.6 acres). THere exhibits are introduced in Japanese, English, Tibetan, and Chinese, in order to accommodate visitors from all over the world.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana"><strong>Day04: Pabonka Hermitage to Sera Monastery Trek<br /> </strong><br /> Today, you will do a short trek to Pabonka Monastery and Palden Lhamo Cave at a small hill north of Lhasa, Pabonka is one of the most ancient Buddhist sites in Lhasa and 1 hour trekking to Sera Monastery. A picnic lunch is served at Pabonka hermitage and then walk to Sera Monastery. In the afternoon, you will visit Sera monastery which was founded in 1419 by Tsongkapa&rsquo;s disciple Jamchen Choeje. The most attractive is that Monks debiting is held there in the courtyard at around 3:00-4:00 in the afternoon section. On the mountain back of Sera Monastery, there are a lot of Rock Paintings with Buddhist images and the six syllable mantra&quot;OM MANI PADME HUM&quot;, some of them are hundreds years old and famous in Tibet, the tour guide will show you these Rock Paintings while walking along the Sera Kora</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">Notice: the Monks Debiting holds every two days, please check the availability with your tour guide before you visit it. </font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">Back to hotel in late afternoon.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">Overnight in Lhasa</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana"><strong>Day05: Free day served for you to know more about Lhasa</strong> <br /> <br /> Recommend activity: <br /> </font><font face="Verdana">Pay a visit to Chodon Orphanage(or Dickey Orphanage) in Lhasa in the morning, Both are local Tibetan orphanage by private funding, there are dozens children aged from 3 to 17 years, of which there are some disabled children, mainly at girls.
