The Re-opened Tibet Since April 5, 2009
The chief of Tibet Tourism Bureau of Tibetan Autonomous Region, Mr. Bazhu, told journalists on March 29 that Tibet tourism has been revived to warmly receive foreign tourists from all over the world.
Bazhu said that Tibet suspended admitting entry to Tibet for foreign travelers for the sake of their safety, and now it is peaceful and serene in Tibet; travel agencies, scenic spots, hotels and travel guides have been well prepared to welcome travelers form the all over the world. So far, more than 100 foreign travel groups have got registered for traveling in Tibet.
