Itinerary

D1:Arriving in Lhasa by the means of train or airplane.Overnight in Lhasa
You are warmly welcome to Tibet by a triditional white scarf and Saying Tashi Delek at the lhasa airport by yours tour guide and an experienced driver and send you back to your well reserved hotel. You are advice not to do hard physical exercises before acclimatize in Lhasa.

D2:Visiting Potala Palace, Jokhang and Barkhor street. Overnight in lhasa.
In the morning section, you are going to visit the famous Patala palace, which is the land mark of lhasa and is recently considered one of the seven wonders of the world.
The palace is divided into two parts 'Red and White' palace with 119m tall. Afternoon section, visiting Jokhang temple, built mainly for the 'Jowoe' bring along with princess Wencheng from Xi’an during Tang dyansty and is grouped into world cultural heritage list by the UNESCO. Then exploring the famous old Barkhor street, enjoing shoping traditional Tibetan things around the street.

D3:Visiting the famous Namtso lake(206km on Qinghai-Tibet high way). Overnight in Lhasa.
Namtso is Tibetan word,means “heavenly lake”is situated in Damxung county with about 240km from Lhasa. The lake is 70km long, 30km in wide,35m and is second largest lake in china. The melted snow and ice of the Nyenchen Thangla mountains forms the water supply of Namtso. Through this journey you can see the most famous ice-capped Nyenchen Thangla mountain ranges and Yangpachen geothermal power station and hot spring pool. Also pesture land where the nomads gaze their animals and you feels like the whole pesture is dotted with yaks.

D4:Driving towards Gyantse(305km with smooth asphal troad).Overnight in Gyantse.
You will reach at famous kangpa-la pass after two hours driving and from the top of the pass in clear weather, you can see the fabulous shade of deep torquoise. Yamdrok-yutso is shaped like coiling scorpion with deep blue in colour. Far in the distance is the huge massif of mount Nanchan kangtsang(7191m).Leaving yamdrok-tso is a spectacular as arrriving, since you have to cross the 4960m karo-la with its awesome roadside views of the Nanchan- Kangtsang glacier. It was here that Younghusband’s british troops clashed with Tibetan forces en route to lhasa.Visit Kubhum monastery and Palkhor stupa.

D5:Moving towards Shigatse (308km on friendship high way) and overnight in Shekar.
Visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery where you can observe the world’s largest Jampa (future god) statue in Jampa chamber and is the abode place for the successive Penchen Lamas. Tashi Lhunpo monastey is one of the six largest Gelugpa monastery in Tibet. Then forwards to world highest pass Gyatso-la pass with 5200 m above sea level and take a good rest in Shekar.

D6: Driving towards Everest base camp(180km running on bumpy road) and overnight in Rongbuk guest house.
It is not easy to enter the Qomolangma(Everest) natural preserve as you need two permits that is Allien’s Travel permit and a park entry with 180Y per person and 400Y per Jeep can be brought at Qomolangma nature preserve San chen guesthouse in Shekar. Your permit and entry fee will check at the foot hill of Gyalpo-la pass. Your guide will help you to register your permits and entry fee at the Everest base camp.

D7: A free day is serve to you and overnight in tent guest house.
You can enjoy the beautiful sun raising scene from the top of the Everest and can hire a cart or can trek if you feel energetic that day. You can also observe the beautiful ecosystem nearby Mount Everest. You can enjoy a night in a Typical Tibetan tent guest house.

D8: Driving back to Shigatse(361km). Overnight in Shigatse.
You could also see the sun raising from the top of the on the Gyalpo-la pass when you  drive back to Shekar. You can eat lunch at Shekar if you don't feel hungry or may be you can take your lunch from Lhatse. Drive a couple of kilometers ahead reached Shigatse.

D9:Back to Lhasa airport and fly awayfrom Tibet.
Your tour guide and driver will help to drop you at the Lhasa airport and you are going to leave Unforgetable Tibet .
(Remark, Flights to Shanghai,Chengdu,Beijing all depart in the afternoon. If you plan to take train back to China Mainland, you need to back to Lhasa to catch train, and your trip will be one day longer)
