Shigatse City

A lot of good restaurants are open for lunch and dinner in the city of Shigatse.

Gongkar Tibetan Restaurant

The restaurants in the small town is not as many as that in Shigatse, but we still can find some decent restaurants.

Naychung Cafe

Sakya County

Sakya has Chinese restaurants, but no fixed opening hours.

Sakya Monastery Restaurant
Fried rice, thoupa and milk tea are served. It is owned by the monastery.

Manasarovar Sakya Hotel Restaurant
It belongs to Manasarovar Sakya Hotel, so it can offers Western food, such as omelettes, burgers, sizzlers and pizza. English menu.

Saga County
 

Along the road, several small Chinese restaurants can be found, but no English menus are offered. People are friendly and helpful.

Tingri County
 

Several Chinese restaurants in town serves the basic dishes.

Namtso Restaurant
It offers western food such as burgers, pizza, curries and breakfasts.

Nyalam Town
It is not hard to find a place to have the meals.

Zhangmu Town

Zhangmu is a busy town, don't worry to find the restaurants. Western, Chinese, Tibetan and Nepali cuisine could be found. Many restaurants could make lunch boxes, which could be eaten on the long ride to Kathmandu.
