The financial department is a complicated one and its work involves various aspects of social life. Thus, to reflect our society from the perspective of finance means to reflect it all around, and to reflect Tibet from the angle of finance is to observe Tibet from different aspects of our society.

Where the wonderland and where the last piece of pure land, locates Tibet. It is the land closest to the sun, is the "homeland" lingering in people's dream. It is because of these reasons, China Financial & Publishing House and the Department of Finance of Tibet Autonomous Region have jointly planned and produced a large photographic album - Land Closest to the Sun

A Financial Review of Tibet. From a brand-new angle of view, it thoroughly reveals the earth-shaking changes and great achievements of Tibet in the past 40 years since the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The album contains six parts, which are: Preface, Yearning for Tibet, Approaching Tibet, Colorful Tibet, Sunny Tibet and Happy Tibet.

Through excellent pictures and essays, this photographic album introduces its exclusive holy land for Tibetan Buddhism, its natural view and rare species resulted from high altitude, its abundant tourism resource composed by natural views and social custom of local multi-nationalities, and the spiritual attitude of Tibetan people, who, showering under the warm sunshine of the cares from central governmentthe Central Government and compatriots all over the country, are building up a beautiful, harmonious and affluent new Tibet. They collected authentic data and materials of about 500,000 words, interviewed almost 100 people concerned people, and took nearly 10,000 pictures. With numerous selecting, weighing, revising and verifying by authorized people from government, related experts and scholars, the final work presented to the readers is the fruit of the painstaking effort of the compilers.

The photographic album is written in three languages-Chinese, English and Tibetan, contains 240 pages with the size of 250mmX330mm. The whole album is about 35,000 words and 260 fine selected pictures, which is printed on imported paper by imported ink. Its cover is soft yet well designed, and its price is 298RMB.
