Day by day Itinerary:
Day01: Chengdu- Lhasa ( Lhasa ariport 80km, asphalt road, 3595m, 15-19 centigrade)
Morning time our staff pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu then dropping you off to Chengdu airport help you check in.After 2 hours flight you will arrive at Lhasa Gongga airport. Our guide will pick you up from Gongga airport to Lhasa city. Rest in the hotel. Overnight at Lhasa
Day02: Lhasa city tour sightseeing
Morning time sightseeing at Potala Palace. Then to visit Jokhang Temple, afternoon walk around Barkhour Market. Overnight at Lhasa
Day03: Lhasa city sightseeing
Morning time to Drepung Monatsery, then afternoon to Sera Monastery.
Overnight at Lhasa.
Day04: Lhasa- Yamdrotso lake-Gyangtse-Shigatse (440km, 6hours driving, asphalt road in good condition , 3900m, 15-19 centigrade)
Morning time around 08:00am depart from Lhasa pass Gangbala Mt. which is over than 5000m, then to Yamdrotso lake which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet (another 2 is Namtso lake and Manasarova), then to Gyangtse, visit Gyangtse Kumbum, far view of Zongshan ruins. Then back to Shigatse.
Overnight at Shigatse
Day05: Shigatse- Lhatse- Tinggri (Shegar) ( 240km, 4 hours driving, asphalt road in good condition , 4050m, 8-15 centigrade)
Morning time to visit Tashilumpo Monastery which was Built in1447 , spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas . After lunch driving along with Friend-ship way pass Lhatse to Tinggri. One the way you will pass the checking point with your TTB permit, travel permit and passport. Then arrive at Tinggri. Buy the entrance of Everest Base Camp.
Overnight at Tinggri
Day06: Tinggri- Rongbu Monastery- Evrest Base Camp- Tingri( 240km, 8hours drving, 70% asphalt road,30% Rough road, 4980m, -5-10 centigrade)
Early in the moring 07:00am driving from Tinggri to E.B.C with good road condition,most prat of road was repaired before 2008. During this route,you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which is 8000m high or more,such as:Mt. Lhotse(8516m),Mt. Everest(8848m),Mt. Qowowuyag(8201m),Mt Mayalu(8463m). Then arrive at Rongbu Monastery. It is cold from here to E.B.C. At Rongphu Monastery view to Mt. Everest it is fabulous and splendid. After walking arrive the place get on the animal carriage then use half of an hour arrive at Everest Base camp ( Or you also can do a trekking to Base Camp around 1.5-2 hours one way. It is interesting and much more warm, but hard to breath). Hiking up to the top of the photo point to take pictures for the splendid- Mt. Everest. Then back to Tingri.
Overnight at Tingri.
Day07: Tinggri- Zhangmu ( 220km, 10 hours, Rough road around mountains, 3750-2300m, 10-18 centigrade)
Morning time go down of moutains to Zhangmu. The road from Old Tinggri to Zhangmu is reparing you just can go from 08:00pm. Arrive at Zhangmu around 12:00pm.
Overnight at Zhangmu.
Day08: Zhangmu- Kathmandu
Morning time cross the Freind- ship bridge the to Nepal side, Guide pick your to Kahtmandu, 4-5 hours later arrive at Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day09: Kathmandu and Around
Today there will be a full day sightseeing tour to the most interesting places in and around Kathmandu and the tour will includes: Swayambhuanth Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, Bodhanath. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Swayambhunath Temple:
Swayambhunath is setuated 3 kilometers west of Kathmandu city known the Buddist Stupa said to be 2000 years Old. Visitors often call it "Monkey Temple". Everyone says the eyes of four cities. Aside, in front of the temple, one of the famous goddess with the shrine of Ajima called "Harati Mata" is there. Both the stupa of Lord Buddha and temple of a goddess are surrounded by other temples and Tibetan monasteries. Being located in the top level of valley, this place is famous for visitors for sightseeing. from here the view of Our cities, Mountains in langtang and ganesh Himal is very good.
Pashupatinath Temple:
IThe middle of the sprin The largest Hindu temple Pashu Nath is setuated on the bank of Bagmati river considered one of the Holiest shrines of all the Hindu tempal complex in' South Asia with hundreds of Shiva lingams, shrines icons of various Hindu god and goddess insides. -Hindus are not allowed to enter this temple courtyard.g (Feb. March) every year there occurs a festival called Shivaratri. The world Shivaratri means the holy night of Lord Shiva. On this day many devotees visit the Pashupati Nath temple and make the ceremonial fire. Most of the devotees spend the night offering prayers to Shiva. Bodhanath:
One of the world's largest Stupa, Bouddha is generally acknowledged to be the most important Tibetan Buddhist monument outside Tibet. Tibetans simply call it CHORTEN CHEMPO "Great Stupa". It has now become the Mecca of Tibetan exiles in Nepal. Walking around Bodhanath one often fins men wearing long braids wrapped around their heads. Many of these pilgrims carry their own prayer wheels, which they spin incessantly.
Day10: Kathmandu Valley
Today sightseeing at Bhaktapur, Patan. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Bhaktapur:
Bhaktapur City lies about 14 kilometers east of Kathmandu the altitude of 1401 meters, is a home of medieval art and architecture can be reached by car or any other public transport . The urban city covers an area of 4 square miles. Shaped like a conch shell, Bhaktapur means "the city of devotees". Pottery and weaving are its traditional industries. The major sightseeing places in Bhaktapur are: Durbar Square, Nayatpolo Temple, Bhairavnath Temple, Surya Vinayak, Changunarayan.
Patan;
The ancient city of Patan is situated on the southern bank of Bagmati River and is about 5 km far from Kathmandu City. The City is full of Hindu Temples and Buddhist monuments with bronze gateways, guardian deities and wonderful carvings- Noted for its craftsmen and metal workers, it is known as the city of artists. The major visitors' attractions of Patan are: Durbar Square, Krishna Mandir, Mahaboudha, Jawalakhel Handicraft Center, Patan industrial estate, Kumbheshwor, Jagat Narayan Temple, Rudra Varna Mahavihar, The Ashokan Stupa, Achheshwor Mahavihar, Temples of Machchhindra Nath and Min Nath.
Day11: Kathmandu- Pokhara
After breakfeast driving 200km to Pokhara, then checking hotel. You will sightseeing: Mountain views, Begnas and Rupa Lake, Varahi Temple, World peace pagoda, Seti Gorge and Green Canyon, Devid Fall, Gupteswar Gupha, Mahendra Gupha.
Day12: Boating on Phewa Lake- Chitwan.
After basking in the exotic boating experience on Phewa lake, Phewa Lake is the second largest lake in the country. It is a central attraction for the town. then drive to Terai lowland of Chitwan.
Day13: Jungle activities in Royal Chitwan National Park
Chitwan houses rich wildlife, lush grasslands and rare species of bird and animals. Chitwan national park is your target destination. It give a unique and exceptional wildlife experience, being the home to several are species, in particular, the one-horned rhinoceros and leopard and also leopard, bear, wild boar, deer, bison, crocodiles etc. On your jungle safari you may encounter rare species, rich birdlife and plant life. Birding at the park can be very exciting. In the evening, before dinner, you are treated with a slide show demonstrating culture of Nepal or a performance of the Tharu stick dance, a traditional local dance.
Day14: Jungle safari in Royal Chitwan National Park
Your safari excursion includes Elephant safari, Wildlife safari, jeep safari, canoeing and bird watching. Unlike African animals, those in Chitwan tend to be rather solitary and shy, but the chancing of sightseeing these are very high owing to the expertise and experiences of guides.
Day15: Return Kathmandu
After breakfast, you drive back to Kathmandu and spend your time relaxing, shopping or sight seeing.
Day16: Depart Kathmandu
Kathmandu airport dropping off. End off the wonderful trip.
