Tibet welcomes peak tourism season in August
Tibet attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world every August by its various upcoming traditional festivals, like Lhasa Shoton Festival, Ongkor Festival and Horse Racing Festival. Tibet has received a total of 2,249,000 domestic and foreign tourists in the first half of 2011, according to the regional tourism bureau of Tibet. In this peak season, Tibet receives more than 10,000 tourists every day.
