The trek route will begin in Lhasa, capital of the </font><font face="Verdana">Tibet autonomous region, and go through the northern slope of the Himalayas to end at Lumbini in Nepal where Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, was born. </font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">In order to ensure participants' safe journey through the ice-capped mountainous region, more than 100 volunteers have already signed up. The trek </font><font face="Verdana">applications are open now.</font></p> <p><font face="Verdana">Now 50 national-association members (one per country) and 24 direct-member clubs joined Volkssports which first appeared in Europe nearly 30 years ago. In </font><font face="Verdana">1968, the IVV founded to promote Volkssports worldwide.
