Pelri Kora

Bayi Pelri is located at the eastern edge of the town. This is a holy mountain that is usually associated with Guru Rinpoche. He was the one fought demons on the hill. Also the surrounding farmland was conured up from a vast lake by him.

A pleasant kora rings climb all the way to the peak. You can walk along the hillside, following the road up. You can also drive to a saddle on the north side of the plateau. There you can see a large number of prayer flags around a white chorten. Those also marks the place where the kora path gets away from the tarmac road.

If you follow the boardwalk path, you will get to the back of Pelti. Along your way you can see several sacred sites. Those sits are usually decorated by those hats, bowls and even miniature ladders hang by the pilgrimages. Walk through the forest and you can go back to the switch backing road. The valley below the way is just wonderful.
