Sacred Lake of Zhayu Pagbalha
There is a tradition that the eminent monks and Living Buddhas of Qambaling Monastery of all the ages would offer sacrifices to the lake and even the Pagbalha Living Buddha of Qambaling Monastery would come here and enjoy the lake. Therefore it is called the Sacred Lake of Pagbalha. It is 78 kilometers away from the county town and over 530,000 square meters in area. The lake is encircled by the mattress-like green grass; flower seas cluster around; colorful butterflies are dancing in the air; trees are distributed alternately in different colors. Wild ducks are in groups on the lake surface; kinds of birds dwell on it and splash about in it, with pleasure and happiness. The water is so clear that you can see the bottom and stretch for the swimming fishes. The lake surface has different colors in different areas, like a huge mirror that has been spayed different pigments on properly.

The surrounding people also come here and enjoy the lake every August 15th in Tibetan calendar. They take ritual walks round the sacred lake and sacred mountain, hold activities of singing, dancing, and horse racing. These activities usually last from three to five days. Therefore, the people here are good at singing and dancing and skilled in horsing and shooting.

There is a monastery name Lhundrup on the lakeside. It was said to be one of the several remaining monasteries of the second dissemination period of Buddhism.
