Odser Monastery

It is located in the Mangkam county town, set up by Gunqen Gyamqiu Bongba in 1444. It is one of the eighteen Hotogtus in Tibetan area. The Living Buddha has been reincarnated to the 17th generation. The myths of the Hotogtus in all the generations are widely spread in Kham. Odser Monastery is the main place where the local people take part in the religious rituals. Every year, the monastery would hold the activity of sorcerer dance, the butter lamp fair etc.
