Butog Lake

It is situated in the place about 25 kilometers away north of Tengchen county town. Butog Lake is made up of two plateau lakes in different areas: the Qen Lake of Butog and the Qung Lake of Butog. The water of the two lakes all comes from the nearby glaciers with forest of snow peaks. The surroundings of the lake are plateau basins. The lay of the land is open and vast; the pasture is rich. It is a rare pasture of summer in the area of Denqen. In addition, the fishery resources of the two lakes are also very rich.

Every summer, there is plenty of water, lush grass and gorgeous wild flowers on the vast meadow. The tents of the herdsmen are scattering on the grassland, sprinkled with the stout, strong yaks and the snow-white sheep like the stars. What a plateau pasture scene!
