Later, King Trisong Detsen established the&nbsp; first palace here.</p> <p>There are paths going up the side of the hill from the road, which goes from Samye's east gate. After climbing up for like 30 minutes, you will meet an incense burner. And you can enjoy the prayer flags and the great views of Samye below. Then you go along the ridge to the south. There you can go down the hill.
