It is located in the middle reaches of the Brahmaputra river and has mild climate. Tsetang is 189km from the Lhasa, is the second largest town in the region and the third largest in Tibet.</p> <p>The nearby Yarlung river scenic area is a national scenic park with Samye monastery, Yumnulakhang Palace, burial site for Tsanpo(kings) and tranduk monastery spotting the region.
