Tibet tourism industry makes 2.77 bln yuan in first 3 quarters of 2010

In the first three quarters of 2010, Lhasa has received 2,671,300 foreign and domestic tourists, increase 19.67 percent compared to the same period of time in 2007, its tourism income 2.77 billion RMB up 13.43 percent.

The related tourism information services and the construction of tourism infrastructure are developing fast which boost the rapid growth of Lhasa tourism industry.

The travel services can be seen everywhere in Lhasa. The weather, travel, accommodation, shopping, dining information are available on Lhasa tourism websites. Tibetan, Chinese and English three-version indicating systems have been put in use in key tourist areas. Moreover, related departments have put more efforts on supervision to maintain the order of Lhasa tourist market.
