Namco-Pangong Road open to traffic

Photo taken on Oct. 24, 2009, shows local herdsmen riding motorcycles on the Namco-Pangong asphalt road, Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The 170-km road has been completed recently at a total cost of 350 million yuan (42.35 million U.S. dollars,). The road is a major part connecting central Tibet to northern Tibet's Nagqu and Ngari prefectures.
