Lhasa is the highest city in the world and is the least polluted city in China. However, because of the high altitude, the solar radiation in Lhasa is very fierce. You should use sun glasses and sun screen lotion to block the strong ultraviolet radiation. Winters and springs are quite dry, with strong winds occurring frequently. The rainy season is from June to September, but generally, it rains only during the night. Temperatures vary sharply between day and night. You should take coats whenever you come to Lhasa so that you won't be frozen at night. The best time for visiting Lhasa is from April to October because the summer in Lhasa is usually much cooler than cities in the same latitude.
