Detailed Itinerary
(You are required to register the tour in our Nepal office at least 3 working days before the tour start to apply for the Tibet Visa at Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu)
Day01 Kathmandu to Dham(4 hours driving, 120km)
At the first day of the tour, our Nepal office will arrange a vehicle and an English Speaking driver drive you to Nepal Border to meet the Tibetan Tour guide who is guiding you for Tibet Section of this tour. Our guide and driver will pick you up from the friendship bridge with yours name on a board.
Overnight in Dham
Day02 Zhangmu(Dham)/Nyalam/Old Tingri(239km, 6hours) the road condition is rough bumpy upto Old Tingri. (B)
Driving towards Nyalam where you can take your lunch and then drive a head to old Tingri.
Overnight in Old Tingri
Day03 Old Tingri/Rongbuk monastery(200km, 3 hours,with a bumpy road on mountains, 3750-5200m)(B)
Have a half day day at Everest Area, trek from Rongpu to Everest Base Camp 2 hours, round way)
From Old Tingri to E.B.C with the very rough road, pass the wild grassland, cross the rapids river and high mountains. During this route, you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which is 8000m high or more,such as:Mt. Lhotse(8516m),Mt. Everest(8848m),Mt. Qowowuyag(8201m),Mt Mayalu(8463m).
Overnight at Rongpuk guest house.
Day04 Rongpuk Monastery/Tingri/Sakya Monastery (270km, 4 hours driving, the road is not good enough) (B)
Early in the morning to see the sunrise from Rongphu Monastery, you may trek(4 hours) or take animal carriage(half an hour) to Base Camp to have a closest view of Mt. Everest. Go back to Rongpuk after hiking up to the top of the photo point to take pictures of the splendid- Mt. Everest. In the afternoon around 14:00 drive towards east from Rongpuk to next tourist site-Sakya Monastery

Day05 Sakya/Shigatse (120km, 2 hours driving, 4980m) (B)
There are numerous attractions to appreciate through the driving today is short.
Morning Section, you will visit the famous Sakya monastery, The Sakya tridition is one of the four main Buddhist schools in Tibet. It was from here that the whole of Tibet was governed during the period of Sakya hegemony and even now there are buildings of historic importance to be seen here. You can see the largest book in the world in Sakya's great library written in gold.
Afternoon section, you will be at Shigatse, the second biggest city in Tibet, to visit Tashilunpo Monastery, one of the the six great Gelukpa institutions and was founded in 1447 by a disciple of Tsongkapa. In the evening you can visit the famous tibetan market below the shigatse Zong.

Day06 Shigatse/Gyantse/Yamdrotso Lake/Lhasa(380km)(B)
Today, we will head eastward to Gyantse, which was the third largest city in Tibet(after Lhasa ans Shigatse), the foremost cultural site in Gyantse is Pelkor Chode Monastery and its centerpiece, a grand pagoda called Gyantse Kumbum,which is 35m-high chorten(stupa) with its white layers trimmed with decorative stripes and its crown-like golden dome, is awe-inspiring.
After lunch in Gyantse, We head eastward along one of the holist lakes in Tibet - Yamdrotso Lake,through grand,treeless landscrapes,passing by glaciers aside the mountain road. we will arrive in Lhasa in late afternoon.
Day07-08 Two full days Lhasa Sightseeing(B)
The last two days in are in Tibet will be inside Lhasa city to experience the essentialist cultural sites of Tibet Buddhism, there are Potala Palace,Jokhang Temple,Barkhor street, Sera Monastery and Drepung Monastery.
In Potala palace, you can explore the grandest of this myriad chapels, its audience halls, the jeweled and Golden burial chortens(stupa Tombs) of past Dalai Lamas, and tremendous number of Buddhist frescoes, thangkas, combinations of mandala, figures of the Buddha You will visit 3 important monasteries in Lhasa, the first and foremost is Johkang Temple, the spiritual center of Tibetan Buddhism, attracts pilgrims all over Tibetan Area, built during songtsen gonpo's reign by princess wencheng of tang dynasty, 647 A.D. the other two Monasteries Sera and Drepung Monastery locate in suburb of Lhasa, are hosted by hundreds of Monks, learning, praying, studying, living there. The famous Monks debiting is held in the courtyard of Sera Monastery in the afternoon.
You will also explore the circular pilgrim route barkhor while traveling at Johkang Temple, to contact local folks here, and if possible purchase some traditional Tibetan artifacts, religious implements, antiques, books, Tibetan music instrument, Thangkas, and tradition tibetan clothes etc.

Day09-Day11, Lhasa-Beijing 45 hours train ride
Take the highest train in the world from Lhasa on the morning of Day09 to Beijing and arrive in Beijing on the late afternoon of Day11. The wonderful window excursion along Qinghai-Tibet Railway of land of snows, desert, grassland, ice mountain, lakes will travel together with you to Beijing.
(Xi'an is an important cultural city between Lhasa and Beijing, if you plan to visit Xi'an after Tibet and before Beijing, please feel free to let us know, we can arrange connection train Lhasa-Xi'an-Beijing as well as 1 or 2 days tour in Xi'an city)

Due to the rough road condition from Tingri to Everest Base Camp, 4WD plays main role for Everest Base Camp Tour. Most of our drivers are local Tibetan with at least 5 yesrs driving experience in Tibet, some of them can speak good English.All of the 4WD are in good conditions and looks new.
