Itinerary

Day01: Arrive in Lhasa ( Lhasa ariport 80km, asphalt road, 3595m)   
Our guide will pick you up from Gongga airport/Train station and then send you to Lhasa city. Rest in hotel.

Tips: for first two days in Lhasa
1.You may feel a little bit tired and uncomfortable when you arrive in Lhasa,  If you lack of oxygen, you can take the oxygen in the hotel,clinic or hospital.but please try to avoid take any oxygen and adapt to high altitude by yourself  if you do not feel too bad,becuase there is still a long way to go, if you quite depend on oxygen, you would be hard to adapt to higher altitude at Shigatse,Rongpu Monastery and Everest,which are above 3400m.
2.Please don't take shower at the first two days when you are in Lhasa, it is easy to catch cold and make you feel exhausted.
3.Any alcohol is forbiden at the first two days when you are in Lhasa, otherwise you might be suffered from High Altitude Sickness.

Day02: Lhasa ciy tour sightseeing
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After  lunch,  Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street bazaar, Tibet Museum, the  and the Carpet Factory

Day03: Lhasa city tour sightseeing
Getting up at about 8:00am, drive to Drupeng Hill to visit Drupeng Monastery which is one of four great Gelugpa monasteries in Tibet. After sightseeing about 12:30, drive back to Lhasa and take rest after while. Drive to visit Sera Monastery; Norbu Lingka - the Summer Palace for Dailai Lama. The farewell dinner will be arranged at the Typical Tibetan restaurant to enjoy the local food with Tibetan dance and song show.

Day04 Lhasa- Yamdrotso lake-Gyangtse-Shigatse ( 440km , 6hours driving, asphalt road in good condition , 3900m )
Morning time around 08:00am depart from Lhasa pass Gangbala Mt. which is over than 5000m , then to Yamdrotso lake which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet (another 2 is Namtso lake and Manasarova), then to Gyangtse, visit Gyangtse Kumbum, far view of Zongshan ruins. Then go to Shigatse.

Day05 Shigatse/ Lhatse/ Tinggri (Shegar) ( 240km , 4 hours driving, asphalt road in good condition , 4050m )
Morning time to visit Tashilumpo Monastery which was Built in1447 , spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas . After lunch driving along with Friend-ship way pass Lhatse to Tinggri. One the way you will pass the checking point with your TTB permit, travel permit and passport. Then arrive at Tinggri. Buy the entrance of Everest Base Camp.

Day06 Tinggri/ Rongbu Monastery/ Evrest Base Camp/ Rongbu ( 180km , 8hours drving, most asphalt road, 4980m )
Early in the moring 07:00am driving from Tinggri to E.B.C with good road condition,most prat of road was repaired before 2008. During this route,you can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which is 8000m high or more,such as:Mt. Lhotse( 8516m ),Mt. Everest( 8848m ),Mt. Qowowuyag( 8201m ),Mt Mayalu( 8463m ). Then arrive at Rongbu Monastery. It is cold from here E.B.C. At Rongphu Monastery view to Mt. Everest it is fabulous and splendid.After walking a few minutes to arrive the place get on the animal carriage then use half of an hour arrive at Everest Base camp ( Or you also can do trekking to Everest Base Camp around 1.5-2 hours one way. It is interesting and much more warm, but hard to breath). Hiking up to the top of the photo point take pictures for the splendid- Mt. Everest . Then back to Rongpu.

Tips: Best picture viewing of Everest at Rongpu
Generally speaking, although the altitude of Rongpu Monastery is 5200m, most healthy travelers are able to live in Rongpu without feeling uncomfortable. We strongly advice you to live at Rongpu Monastery for 1 night. As of our experience in mountain area, Everest can be seen much clearer in the morning than at noon. If you live in Rongpu Monastery, it takes 10 minutes walking to the viewing platform to see the clear Mt.Everest in the morning, on the contrary, living in Tingri might lead you to a bad result that you can not see the clear face of Mt.Everest at noon.


Day07 Rongbu/Old Tinggri/ Zhangmu ( 240km , 10 hours,  Rough road around mountains, 3750 -2300m )
Morning time take photos of the sunrise for Mt. Everest . Then go down of moutains to Zhangmu. The road from Old Tinggri to Zhangmu is reparing you just can going from 08:00pm. Arrive at Zhangmu around 12:00pm. Next morning cross the Friend-ship Bridge cross the border by yourselves. There are a lot of bus and taxi waiting for travelers from Tibet on Nepal side, it is easy and safe to take. 8USD for bus ticket, 30USD for a taxi from the border to Kathmandu
