Many Tibetan restaurants around toen entertain their customers with karaoke or video shows, and you would be more them welcome to venture in and pull up a pew.

If karaoke isn't your idea of entertainment, then there is a disco on the Potala Square in the Workers' Cultural Palace. The Makye Ame, Kailash, Crazy Yak and Tashi restaurants sometimes have impromptu parties where travelers guzzle beers and share tales of the their exploits.

There are two cinemas in town. The main one is opposite the minibus stand and the other is located between the Kirey and Banak Shol Hotel.
