You have to take an airport bus or taxi to Lhasa city first. From Lhasa coach station, you can take a coach to Shigatse City at 08:00 or 09:00, every morning. The ticket costs RMB 50 (standard) or RMB 60 (luxury) per person.</P> <P><STRONG>Coach</STRONG><BR>Shigatse City Passenger Transportation Company offers coach services between Shigatse City and other major cities. Private buses often wander the streets looking for passengers or wait at the plaza of Tashilhunpo Monastery to pick up passengers. Most of the coaches and buses will only leave once they are full of passengers! It's also best to ask for details in advance because some of the coach and bus services are not very regular.</P> <P>In remote counties or towns, such as Zhangmu or Yadong, it's best to ask the locals or hotel staff for detailed information about the coaches. You can also rent a car and a driver or share the car with someone else.</P> <P><STRONG>Others</STRONG><BR>Shigatse City is not very large, so the best way to get around the city is on foot. Otherwise, you can take a pedicab which will cost just CNY 2-3. It's best to arrange the price with the driver beforehand (bargain as much as you can).
