How to Book a trip through Tibettravel.Org
Step 1: Please fix your tour schedule with our company
Step 2: let me make the formal tour contract for you, and I will send you the draft tour contract by email. Let us discuss the items in tour contract until we make agreement on each item.
Step 3: Pay deposit according to the tour contract by wire transfer or by credit card or by west union.
Step 4: Our company will issue receipt of your deposit to you by email
Step 5: Your documents will be hand it over to another department of our company called -- Dispatching Department
Step 6: Please email me the colorful photo copy of your passport and China Visa one month before your trip start, our company will apply your Tibet Permit as soon as we get these documents.
Step 7: The Dispatching Department will arrange your train tickets and Tibet Permit, Hotels, Cars, tour guides etc … 7 days before your tour start, you will get a comfirmation about Hotel Booking, Tour Guide Name and tour guide telephone Number, E-flight tickets, train Code. You train tickets and Tibet Permit will be deliver to the hotel you stay in the city you leave to Tibet.
How to Pay
Our company usually charges 15-20% of local tour fee as deposit. If your tour package include train tickets or air tickets, you are kindly required to pay 15%-20% of local tour fee plus 100% of train fare and air fare. As regards to the rest of your tour fee, you can pay one month before your tour starts or pay it in Lhasa.
Our company does not accept leave a part of tour fee at the end of your trip. all the tour fee are required to be fully paid at the first two day you are in Lhasa. we have an Lhasa office to deal with the payment.

(Important Notice: Travelers are kindly required to pay for the full deposit to our account, the banking charges will be on the travelers account. Our company will confirm the amount of deposit based on actual amount we received. If the actual amount we received is less than the required amount, our company will ask travelers to pay the difference when they are in China)

A About cancellation& Refunding:
You may cancel your tour after it is confirmed with payment; you will be liable to pay cancellation charges. Cancellation charges are as follows:

These cases below are expected
1. Cancellation 10 days before departure due to political reason or natural force, No cancellation charge(Excludes the lost caused by refunding Flight tickets), but you should offer the third-party's document to prove the cancellation reason.
2. Cancellation within 10 days before departure due to political reason or natural force, travelers should pay the charge caused by cancellation of the flight tickets and train tickets,but you should offer the third-party's document to prove the cancellation reason.
B. About modification after tour starts
1. If a change to the confirmed itinerary or service standard is caused by uncontrollable force, such as weather, unforeseen circumstances, political upheavals, etc., neither party shall be held responsible, and any extra cost thus caused shall be covered by the tourist himself.
2. If a change to the confirmed itinerary or service standard is caused by an air or rail Transportation Company, or other factors that are beyond the control of Tour company, we shall not be held responsible for the losses thus caused.
3. If a tourist has to leave his tour group because of accident, injury, or serious illness, a refund of 10% of the unused tour fare shall be made to the tourist. No refund will be made available for a tour member who otherwise quit the tour group on his own account.
4. No refund shall be given for any portions for the tour package unused by the participant of his own accord.
5. For any increase on fuel oil tax
6. If your trip has to be stopped or cut off by any physical disease proved by local hospital, Our travel agency only charge the local tour fee that has accordingly taken place and the air and train fee caused by cancellation or modification. Then refund the rest to travelers.
7. Travelers can modify the departure date 1 month before the actual tour start if they need.
× All cancellations must be in written form and will only be effective upon receipt by Tibettravel Tour in specified time as per tour.
C.About Modifying the Tour Contract before tour start
For Private Tour: A free modification is acceptable when the tour contract is signed 30 days before the agreed departure, which could be comprised of the trip dates, service items, itinerary and the number of travelers etc.; 5% of additional service charge based on the agreed total trip cost for modifying the content of the tour contract will be charged if the travelers would like to modify for a second time; the rest can be done in the same manner. CITS reserves the right to offer a re-quotation every time when the content of the tour contract is altered.
For Join-in Group Tour: No modification on the tour contract.
About Insurance
Your tour covers the insurance premium of Personal Travel Accident Insurance, In Chinese ÂÃÓÎÒâÍâÉ˺¦±£ÏÕ (The right to interpret is reserved by Ping An Insurance(Group)Company of China,Ltd.) offered by Ping An Insurance(Group)Company of China,Ltd.. When the agreed insurance accident happens according to the insurance contract, Ping An Insurance(Group)Company of China,Ltd. Will compensate for your corresponding loss; but the exact compensation amount and proportion cannot be ascertained before ratification by the according staff of the insurance company. CITS only takes charge of assistance with the insurance company to research, compensate and supervise whether the compensation is properly issued or not, instead of any other responsibility and compensation except those stated in the insurance contract with the insurance company. Any controversy can only resort to the Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China and relevant laws.
The insurance only covers accidents inside China, our company does not provide insurance out of China and does not compensate any accident out of China.
Our company strongly advice travelers to purchase their own insurance as the complement of the tour insurance provided by our company.
The maximum compensation is 250,000RMB based on Personal Travel Accident Insurance, In Chinese ÂÃÓÎÒâÍâÉ˺¦±£ÏÕ (The right to interpret is reserved by Ping An Insurance(Group)Company of China,Ltd.) offered by Ping An Insurance(Group)Company of China,Ltd.
Tibet Permit Application Procedure
Notice: Any Visa card issued by association like APEC does not equal to Chinese Visa for Tibet permit application.
1. If you visit China for travel, and your visa type is "L", Please email us the photo copy of your passport and China Visa 20-30 days before you arrive in China, we will set out to apply for your Tibet Permit upon we receive it. Please be sure that the photos are in large size and clear enough.
2. If you visit China for business purpose, and your visa type is "F" or "Z"or "D", please offer a business visiting certificate paper from the company or association in China you pay a visit to that can provide your accurate purpose. This certificate paper should include two parts: 1. Your personal information: your full name, passport number, the purchase of visit, the duration of your visit. 2. the company information, the company full name, address, telephone number, fax number. And this certificate paper must be stamped by this company.
3. If you resident in China held a resident permit, please offer your working permit issued by China government or a certificate from your company to prove you are working there. The certificate should include 1. Your personal information: your full name, passport number, the purpose of visit, how long have you been working there, your position in this company; 2. the company information, the company full name, address, telephone number, fax number. And this certificate paper must be stamped by this company.

4. Your Tibet Permit will be issued 2-5 working days since we pass your documents to Tibet Tourism Bureau. The Original Tibet Permit will be posted to the city from which you depart to Tibet, please let us know the address, telephone number, the hotel name of your accommodation in that city 15 days before you arrive in China. If you are asked to go to our branch office in that city you depart to pick up documents in person, we will mention it in this the contract.
5. Travelers need to offer unfeigned, effective and related credential, license or certificate through which CITS will apply for necessary permits. Once any counterfeit credential, license or certificate from travelers is confirmed, CITS reserves the right to cancel the according trip and no refund will be implemented. Necessary compensation from travelers also occurs when any counterfeit made by the travelers induces loss to CITS.
