Damxung is a hot tourist destination located at the connection region of the Southern Tibet and the Northern Tibet. Only 60 kilometers away from Lhasa, it boasts the north gate of Lhasa and also the nearest pass to the holy Lake Namtso, or sleep overnight by the Namtso lake. Generally, it is not difficult to get accommodation in Damshung Town though the condition is still poor.
