With air filled with smell of burning incense and smoke of burnt offerings, you will pass the prostrating Tibetan pilgrims; their devotion is a stunning spectacle to see. Besides, a variety of interesting handicrafts and souvenirs are also readily available along Barkhor Street.

Drepung Monastery is the biggest monastery of Great Three monasteries in Lhasa. As our clients toured it, they happened to see a ritual to burn offering for the Buddha and to pray for peace to all living creatures.

Mani Stones refer to holy stones, rocks or slates on which Tibetan Buddhist scriptures are engraved. The craftsman was carefully carving the Buddhist scriptures on the red slates.

Tashilhunpo Monastery is the most prestigious monastery in Shigatse city. Built by the 1st Dalai Lama, Tashilhunpo Monastery houses the world’s largest golden statue of Future Buddha. During grand religious festival, like Drepung Monastey, gigantic Thangka Buddha unfolding ceremony will be expected to hold there. The Tibet pilgrims will also do kora around the monastery for blessings.
Have Dinner in Shigatse before Moving to EBC

Roam around Everest Base Camp (5200m)

Unlike EBC in Nepal, the scenery of EBC in Tibet is much grander, without visual obstruction of neighboring soaring mountains. Spend the Night at EBC
The only accommodation facility in EBC is the small tents run by locals. As sun goes down, the temperature gets freezing cold. It’s advisable to stay inside the cozy tent where warm sheets are available. And there is no shower facility. You can enjoy the stunning starry night at EBC, if you dare to venture out from much warmer tents. It’s would be a lifetime experience to sleep at the foot of world’s summit.
