Tickets for Scenic Spots in Tibet not to Rise in National Holidays

Admissions to major tourist attractions in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region including the Potala Palace will not go up during the upcoming National Day holiday.

Scenic spots in Tibet charge different prices in low and peak tourist seasons. No price hike is allowed in particular holidays.

The period from May 1 to Oct. 31 every year marks the busiest tourist season in Tibet, during which prices will be a bit higher than that in the off season.

During the National Day holiday, the admission to the Potala Palace is 200 yuan per person, to the Jokhang Temple 85 yuan and to the Namtso Holy Lake 120 yuan.

According to the Potala Palace Administration, tickets is in short supply at present, so he suggested that tourists book tickets in advance via hotline or its official website to avoid missing the opportunity to visit it.

According to statistics, Tibet has received 41.12 million tourists in the first half of this year with the tourism revenue hitting 4.08 billion yuan.
