Tibetan Nomads on the Way of Migration
The following photos show the traditional lifestyle of nomads of ethnic Tibetans living in Chilian County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Qinghai Province. They keep moving with the change of weather in search for water and grass.
The 39-year-old Dongdripu is one of the migrators, who rides ahead to lead the team of 150 yaks, 400 sheep and three guard dogs, and his wife Dzomkyid follows behind. They normally travel as far as 140 kilometers away since September of every year, and come back until July of the following year.
