Tibet tour in 2013 gradually heating up

With the practice of the new policy on Tibet travel permit in 2013, Tibet witnesses more and more foreign visitors since early April, and Tibet tour in 2013 is gradually heating up.

In 2012, Tibet saw much fewer foreign tourists than the past few years due to the harsh policy on Tibet permit that required travelers to travel in Tibet in a tour group with at least five travelers from the same country. Thus, many foreigners failed to get Tibet permit in 2012 and forced to give up their Tibet tour plan.

Foreigners visited a Tibetan monastery

In 2013, the restriction on group size and nationality was removed at the end of March. With the lifting of restriction, travelers can easily get Tibet permit. Besides, travelers do not have to join in a Tibet tour group. They do not need to regular their schedule to meet others'. They can do a Tibet tour freely according to their own interests, budget and schedule.

Therefore, travelers travelling to Tibet can easily carry out their Tibet tour plan. Tourists can join in a Tibet tour group to cut down the cost or enjoy a tailor-made Tibet tour based on their own budget and interests.

Foreign visitors in Tibet

In early April, Tibet has received over one hundred foreign travelers. Most of them were organized by Tibettravel org. Some of them even have visited the Everest Base Camp which was closed to foreigners since last May but reopened to foreigners again in early April, 2013.
