Tibetan Herders Embrace New Life
Over 20,000 cadres have been deployed to settle practical problems for Tibetan villagers in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region since last October.
They work in line with local conditions in remote areas such as Xainza and Nyima counties in northern Tibet's Nagqu Prefecture, a high-cold and deficit-oxygen area with broad land and scattered population.
Work teams stationing there set up cooperative organizations to build clothes-making factories, food manufacturers, convenience stores as well as transport teams to increase Tibetan herders' income.
Meanwhile, they opened kindergartens for children and guided local residents to beautify their villages.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years.
