Over 500 Libraries Founded in Tibet's Monasteries
Over 500 libraries have been established in Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, according to Tibet travel guide.
The monastery libraries collect books on Buddhist scriptures, Tibetan arts and language, laws and regulations, popular science, literatures.
Since last year, the regional government in Tibet has launched a whole package of construction programs for Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, with the library project included. So far, the libraries have become a popular facility for religious practioners within the monastery.
The regional government plans to build 1200 more libraries for other monasteries in later 2012 and the next year.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
