Tibet to Wrap Up Rural Housing Project In 2013
Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region is expected to complete the housing project for rural low-income families in 2013, according to the regional poverty-alleviation office.
In 2011-2013, the office allocates 550 million yuan (87.4 U.S. dollars) for the housing project of 22,000 rural Tibetans with 175 million yuan (27.81 U.S. dollars) for 7,000 households in 2012, in accordance with the latest poverty-alleviation plan of the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-2015).
In addition, Tibet has increased the housing subsidy from the previous 12,000 yuan to the present 25,000 yuan per household.
From 2005 to 2010, Tibet has pumped 580 million yuan into the poverty-alleviation project for 52,000 rural needy households, improving their living conditions. And it also good for people travel to Tibet, Tibetan style building is also attractive.
