Tibet to Hold Dalai Lama-themed Culture Tourism Festival
"You meet me, or not meet me
I'm there
No sorrow or happy
You miss me, or not miss me
The memory is there
Not coming, not going
You love me, or not love me
Love is there
Can't be added, can't be ended
You be with me, or you leave me
I lace my fingers in yours
Never be aparted
Rest in my arms
Or let me go into your mind
In silence, and in love
So quiet, and so fascinating"
by Tsangyang Gyasto
A Culture Tourism Festival with the theme of the love songs created by 6th Dalai Lama would be held during the May Day holiday (from May 1st to May 4th) in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
By then, people travel to Tibet can enjoy the beautiful love songs in Tibetan sung by locals from the Tsona County in Lhoka Prefecture, hometown of Tsangyang Gyasto, the household name of 6th Dalai Lama.
According to introduction, the festival will be a showcase of the culture splendor and mental outlook of the Monbas, an ethnic minority from which Tsang Gyasto comes.
There will be various activities held then, such as drinking and singing competitions, Monba dramas, cultural relics display and commodity exchanges.
The preparation for the festival has been ready, said director of the local Tourism Bureau, adding that the festival can not only enrich the cultural life of the mass, but also can help to rescue, protect and inherit the traditional culture of the Monbas.
