Take a Tour to Shigatse by Railway
As the second railway line in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, which is 251 kilometers long and links the regional capital Lhasa and Shigatse, the second-largest city in the region, officially put into use. The middle south part of Tibet has unleashed its beauty. Itineraries were opened to tourists to take a deep look into these parts of Tibet.

There are about 100 butter sculpture craftsmen in Kangxung of Rinbung County in Shigatse, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region because of the growing need in market. Butter Sculpture is an ancient and unique genre of art in Tibet whitch was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage by the State Council in 2006.
Namling lies in the south of Tibet Autonomous Region, the northeast of Shigatse Prefecture and the north of the upper part of Yarlung Zangbo River, covering 8,133 square kilometers with a generalpopulation of 66 thousand.
Lhatse occupies a harshly beautiful region of the Yarlung Tsangpo River Valley, roughly 4,000 m (13,000 ft) above sea level.

Saga is a town and township and seat of Saga County in Shigatse Prefecture in southern Tibet. It lies at an altitude of 4,640 meters. Saga ("happy land") is an army town with a Chinese garrison which patrols the whole length of the Tibetan-Nepalese border.
Rinchen Shuptso is a salt lake in Zhongba County in the Shigatze Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.It is 21.5 km long and 16.4 km wide and has an area of 187.1 square km.
