Story of A Tibetan Village Postman
Abi, 43, is a postman of the Mainri Township, Nyingchi County of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
"I worked as a village postman when I was only 13 years old, and I have done this job for 30 years. Those postmen who worked together with me have quitted because of its low pay and hard work. They went outside to make a fortune. I also hesitated for a while, but I still decided to continue with this job. Being a postman for many years, I have a deep feeling for this job and really enjoy doing it because it can help my hometown fellows," said Abi.
Over the past 30 years, Abi has kept his routine-starting to work at 8 a.m. every day, riding more than 100 kilometers to deliver parcels, letters and newspapers to 12 villages of Mainri Township without any mistakes.
