Shenzhen to Nyingchi Airline Opened on August 18th, 2014

Shenzhen Airport opens another air route to Tibet. The airbuses used for this airway have been adjusted to adapt the high elevation. This flight departs once every day, conducted by Tibetan Airlines.

Ningchi Airport is an airport situated in Mainling. It is suggested to be one of the most challenging intrusment approaches in the world, since the airport is in a winding valley. The airport is surrounded by over 4,000 meters high mountains enveloped by clouds and fog throughout the year. Aircraft have to fly through the narrow and winding river valley to approach the airport. The narrowest flight path is less than 4km from one mountain ridge along the valley to the opposite one. According to meteorological data, there are just 100 days overall with suitable weather to operate on the airport each year.

Because of the special condition of the airport, the airline from Shenzhen will stopover in Chengdu for one night and fly towards Nyingchi at 06:45 the next morning.
