Protecting the Namsto Lake in Tibet
Namtso Monitoring and Research Station for Multisphere Interactions, located at the southeast shore of the Namsto Lake, northern slope of the Mt. Nyainqentanglha, 220 km away from Lhasa, was established by the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005.
As the highest and long-term attended monitoring station in China, the station has provided lots of basic data for systemic and comprehensive study of the ecological condition of the Tibet Autonomous Region thru long-term observation of the atmosphere, ice glaciers, snows, lakes and ecology of the region.

With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
