New Houses at Foot of Snow Mountains

Various houses with ethnic Tibetan feature can be seen at the foot of snow mountains along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway when people drive through northern Tibet's Changtang Grassland, including newly built settlement houses for nomads, reconstructed villages and houses used for public service.

On the Changtang Grassland, the main pasturing area of northern Tibet Autonomous Region, the housing project aiming to improve the living conditions of the locals has brought benefits and happiness for a large number of nomads, and the Tibetan style houses also form an attractive landscape along the road.
