Free Health Check-up Offered to Tibetan Monks, Nuns
Free physical examination was recently offered to Tibetan monks and nuns with health records set up for them in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, China Tibet Online reported.
The health check-up included 12 exam items, such as the blood test, electrocardiographic examination and color Doppler ultrasonography, in the medical program, organized by Lhasa Municipal Government and medical institutes concerned.
Medical workers consulted monks and nuns on their physical conditions and offered medical tips in daily life to improve their health awareness during the check-up.
In recent years, Tibetan monks and nuns have enjoyed free medical care, even free surgeries, in hospital with their health guaranteed.
