Yesterday, Nov. 7, is the beginning of winter. Winter Tibet opens its arms for numerous migratory birds. Thousands of migratory birds also have arrived at Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region to spend their winter in wetland in Damxung and Lhasa River wetland.
Every year, tens of thousands of migratory birds would fly to Tibet for wintering for Tibet provides favorable ecological environment, wetlands, lakes and pasture for the migratory birds, like black-necked crane, bar-headed goose and yellow duck. Tibet is the paradise for them to enjoy winter.
