Tibetan New Year marked in Chinese embassy in Nepal
The Chinese embassy in Kathmandu hosted a grand ceremony in celebration of the Tibetan New Year, or Losar.
Chinese ambassador to Nepal Wu Chutai inaugurated the cultural show where a group of artists from Nagri Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China performed dances on the occasion.
Talking to Xinhua, participants of the function said that Losar has a great significance in their culture and lifestyle.
"We have been celebrating Losar for many years in Kathmandu to promote our culture. We feel proud to observe it," 25-year-old girl Samten Dolma told Xinhua during the function organized at Hotel Yak and Yeti in Kathmandu.
With exceptional passion and outstanding leadership, Mrs. Catherine has dedicated herself to Tibet inbound tourism and China tour for 15 years. As one of the handful females who see great potential of Chinese inbound tourism, Catherine has made great contribution to promoting Tibet tourism and enhancing the employment of Tibetans and prosperity of local Tibetan community.
Over the years, she travelled overseas with Tibet Tourism Bureau many times to promote Tibet tourism. Currently, Catherine works as the marketing director of Tibet Vista, an opinion leader behind the whole team of Tibet Vista.
