Sichuan-Tibet Highway traffic restricted for 6 days

According to the information released by the government of Pome County of Nyingchi Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region on July 14, the traffic of Sichuan-Tibet Highway will be restricted during July 14 to July 19 because of the repairing and strengthening of its Pelung Steel Bridge. During the six days, vehicles could go through the bridge every 12 a.m. to 2 p.m.and 7 p.m. to 6:30 of next morning. The way will be closed to traffic in the rest of the time.
The Pelung Steel Bridge is located between Pome County and Nyingchi County of Nyingchi Prefecture, and about 100 kilometers away from the Pome County. It is the only way tourists must be passed when they choose the routes from Sichuan or Yunnan to Tibet.
