The life of Tibetan students in Tibet
Even though the weather in the high plateau is inclement with anoxic atmosphere and low temperature, the enrollment rate of school-age children there hits 100 percent for 15 consecutive years.
Currently, there are 44 students in the Gatso primary school including 15 kindergarten kids.
All of them enjoy the "Three Guarantee" policy (free food, free accommodation and free tuition).
Besides, the local government has also issued incentive policy to encourage children from herdsmen's families to go to school by subsidizing them 1.17 yuan each school day, 30 kg meat, 5 kg butter as well as 6.5 kg yoghourt each year.
