"I have to admit that I have a strong affection to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where Tibetan people inhabit. Every time I left my footprints there, I had no thought of leaving. Besides the unpolluted blue sky, splendid snow mountain and vast grassland, what makes me reluctant to leave most is the people living there who are always simple and honest. This time I paid a visit to the Dechen County in the northwest part of Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. Followings are pictures taken on the road, and each bears a story".

To support his family, a Tibetan man who runs a tatty rest station on the only one way to the Yubeng Village in the northwest part of Deqen Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

The travel guide Ganma is always ready to help. On the way to a frozen lake, he voluntarily carries the heavy bags for those who go panting and puffing up the mountain and he is used to singing and telling jokes to encourage the team members who lag behind.

Api, a Tibetan driver is tying the sutra streamers he got from a monastery on the mountain pass with an elevation above 4,150 meters to pray for peace and safe of every vehicle passing by.
